Number of ASR Events (for SATA drives) is the running total of Asynchronous Signal Recovery events. This event is triggered when the SATA interface signal is lost. This may be caused by:
1. a bad SATA connection (an interface problem), or
2. the drive restoring from power saving mode (which is normal).
In most cases, this event is caused by restoration from power saving mode and can be ignored. If the ASR event is accompanied by other events such as interface CRC error, then the issue may be a bad SATA connection.
