SMART Attributes are a set of health indicators commonly reported by drives. However, the list of supported SMART Attributes can vary by drive model and/or manufacturer. Normalized SMART Attributes have values that range between 0 and 255, with ideal values typically at or above 100. The meaning of individual SMART Attributes varies by drive manufacturer, and their raw values are sometimes difficult to interpret. SMART Attributes may overlap with, or be similar to, other statistics reported by a drive or its host. Some SMART Attributes may come with a threshold, which when used in conjunction with the normalized value, may indicate impending drive failure.
