DA Drive Analyzer App for QNAP NAS (Applicable to QNAP users) is DA Drive Analyzer in the form of a QTS (QNAP's operating system) application, which QNAP users can use to manage DA Drive Analyzer's services and view drive health predictions and drive health information summaries for a particular QNAP NAS (Network Attached Storage) device.
For instructions on how to set up the application, see https://www.qnap.com/en-us/how-to/tutorial/article/how-to-set-up-ulink-da-drive-analyzer-on-your-qnap-nas
Once you have set up the DA Drive Analyzer App for QNAP NAS, you can check on the health of your drives by opening the application on your QNAP NAS, which will take you to the Overview page.
On the Overview page, you can see whether you have any drives that are predicted as Critical (At-Severe-Risk) or Warning (At-Moderate-Risk) by the main AI algorithm.
If all drives are Normal, there is typically nothing more you need to do.
However, if there are Critical or Warning drives, you can click on them to see their location and serial number on the Drive Prediction page.
A Critical or Warning drive should be backed up frequently, or replaced, as its impending failure has been predicted by DA Drive Analyzer
To explore the cause of the Critical or Warning drive's deterioration, you can also check the drive for Threshold Alerts. Threshold alerts do not utilize AI and may not always coincide with a Critical or Warning prediction, but they are able to suggest a specific reason for why the drive may be deteriorating when they do occur.
In the example shown above, we can see that the Warning drive also had Threshold Alerts for Number of Reallocation Logical Sectors. This tells us that the drive is likely deteriorating due to damage on the surface of the disks, which cause sectors to be reallocated to spares. You can view the definitions of Threshold Alerts by clicking on the View details links.
If you want to see even more details about your drives' health, including weekly health metric trends, and drive health scores broken down into 5 symptom categories (the Symptom Radar Chart feature), or if you want to set up email alerts, you can go to the Additional Information page and click on the Visit DA Portal link to go to the DA Portal dashboard, where you can do all of that and more.
